Boys perform worse at school in general because school is a female environment.
Everything in contemporary schools and the very figure of the "average student" is designed with feminine contours and even the curriculum is feminine.
The fundamental basis of this is that our era, which is a schizoid era of cognitive dissonance, cannot even recognize that boys and girls, because they have different brains, need to be educated using different pedagogies.
School is simply not stimulating for boys, the curriculum content is not stimulating for boys, the teaching methodology is not stimulating for boys - and all of this has become less and less stimulating as we move towards "alternative pedagogies" " based on horizontality, inclusivity and dialogue.
The inability to deal with bullying also comes from this. The average conclusion will be that there is a lack of "empathy" and "inclusion", and that the solution would probably be something involving a party, lots of hugs, the multiplication of psychologists at school and the fight against "toxic masculinity" - when the solution is very more trivial than this: transforming the school, at least for boys, into a space of absolute discipline, obedience, authority, punishment and in which male psychological and temperamental specificities are contemplated and have an escape valve.
This is why, when it comes to education, male and female spaces should be separated. Not only would bullying decrease (because much bullying involves boys' delayed and exaggerated attempts to assert themselves, which they think will make them more attractive to girls), existing bullying would be easier to deal with.
